Our litigation support services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team with deep expertise in
insolvency, restructuring, forensic accounting and complex commercial disputes.
We work alongside legal teams to provide clear, independent and technically robust
analysis that strengthens case strategy and supports effective resolution. Drawing on extensive
experience across distressed and high-stakes environments, we translate complex financial and
operational data into clear, court-ready insights that can be relied upon in negotiations, mediation and
proceedings.
A core element of our work involves the assessment of damages, including lost profits, valuation impacts,
and quantification of economic loss arising from breach of contract, insolvency events, or operational
disruption.
We also provide specialist business interruption analysis, helping to isolate and
evidence the financial consequences of unforeseen events on trading performance and cash flow. Our
approach combines accounting precision with forensic scrutiny, ensuring that every conclusion is
supported by a transparent and defensible methodology.
In addition, we assist in tracing financial flows, analysing corporate transactions, and reconstructing
historical performance to support evidential narratives in complex disputes.
Working closely with solicitors, counsel and corporate stakeholders, we provide
strategic input at every stage of the litigation process, from early case assessment through to expert
witness reporting and testimony. In this way we ensure that financial evidence is not only accurate, but
also persuasive and aligned with legal strategy.
We pride ourselves in our dispute support and forensic advisory services which are designed to provide
end-to-end assistance across the full lifecycle of contentious matters. We deliver expert legal support
and litigation assistance to legal teams, corporates and insolvency practitioners navigating complex
disputes, ensuring that financial, operational and accounting evidence is fully understood, properly
contextualised and strategically deployed.
Through our case support services and legal strategy support, we help shape the
evidential narrative from the earliest stages of a matter, strengthening positioning for negotiation,
settlement or proceedings.
How Mann & Associates global Do Things Differently
In a recent instruction Mann & Associates global were engaged to provide litigation
support in a dispute involving a luxury spa business that suffered a significant operational
interruption following the rupture of a sewerage pipe, resulting in widespread contamination of its
treatment and wellness facilities.
The incident forced a complete closure of the premises, severely impacting customer bookings, damaging
reputation, and disrupting normal trading activities over an extended period. Working closely with the
client’s legal advisers, we were asked to assess the financial impact of the event and provide an
independent quantification of loss.
Our forensic team conducted a detailed assessment of loss of profits, analysing
historic trading performance, seasonal trends, booking patterns and overhead structures to isolate the
effect of the interruption.
We prepared a comprehensive expert report setting out a clear and defensible
methodology for quantifying business interruption losses, including assumptions on recovery trajectory
and mitigation efforts. The report was designed to withstand scrutiny in a contentious environment and
provide a transparent evidential basis for negotiation.
The expert analysis proved pivotal in supporting settlement discussions between the parties. By providing
a clear and credible valuation of losses, the report helped narrow the issues in dispute and facilitated
a successfully negotiated agreement without the need for prolonged litigation.
The outcome preserved commercial relationships where possible and demonstrated the value of early, robust
forensic input in resolving complex business interruption claims.
